| | well technically i got back on friday but yeah since my dumb ass boss decided to give me the day off today ive done jack all..but catch up with wat i totally missed and it looks like alot. i just came back from my 4 days up in brisbane for work experience which i should have done already..but at least ive done it. i basically spent 4 days with 5 lovely guys from the queensland dance group called Raw Dance Company..a tap funk company mainly a male gendered company tho there are some female dancers..but i spent most of my time sitting on my bum watching cute boys dance haha..help set up their small stage and went on lunch errands..so much for work experience..haha jokes but yeh they were all nice ppl and tho the weather was shocking on one of the four days that i was there i did enjoy it..i got some pics that ill attempt to post on here..u see im killing time coz im going to see Juno with Alison..why maybe coz i didnt want to get wasted tonight..tho i should have..see its Hericas bday (work friend) and was totally keen on going out..till i got my time of the month and the worst cramps ever..so opted to stay local and veg out at the movies before i go back to uni on monday...nooooooooooooooooooooo another reason to go back..to be honest id rather not go back but hey not long till im finished..but i wanna catch up with the raw boys coz they were nice..and i found one of them via myspace (ahhh where would we be without it) but yeh i wish i was on tour with them right now..tho i would be lost without internet connection and cable tv which i was for 4 days..and gosh it was hard..but yeh i wanna go to one of their shows coz it looked really good..see u theyre doing this tour with a new cast around the country going to rural areas and getting their names known but i hear theyre going overseas afterwards to perform at all these festivals..i hope they go to adelaide coz then im sure ill see em..but yeh watching them rehearse made me see that i still have the passion for dance that i thought i had lost and that i still love and want to tap and that things like raw dance and tap works will help me out with tap companies and that i still wanna be a dancer as my future career whether its for raw dance/tap works or a back up dancer for Jt or Take That on their next tour..lolz..ill end it here ive said wayyyy too much plus im getting a little tired staring at the computer screen, damn u fanfics!!!!!! another thing that ive caught up on :P | comments: 5 comments or Comment here   |
| ive actually been on here for a while..meet a fellow Lb fan ben..and yeah but anywho..i decided to post coz ive finally...and i mean finally have all my shit together..ive enrolled in Wesley Institute and am now a college student...yay..and it took like a month to do it all..and it totally paid off..granted for the fact that its on the other side of the city and the first semester is the hardest..im willing to stick it up and ride it out..until the end of the semester..though a few things will be sacrificed..like my dancing outside of school..but eh..what am i going to school for?!?!..soo...i was seriously considering not even going to school but to get a job for me..but due to my circumstances, Wesley decided to accept me...yay..but yeah twas my orientation day and twas all but hot and tiring..
mostly sitting listening to people talk about how greattt the school was and god amongst other things..yah so was the time to make "new" friends...meh..wasnt really in the mood for socialising til my..ill call him my "mentor"-coz i dunno what he does..hes like a 3rd year student, Michael aka Luigi aka Paddle Pop Lion aka Chad Kroger[nickelback guy]..yeah had a field day with his life story of his many famous nicknames..surprisingly enough hes majoring in dance & theology..but yeh he came and introduced himself..as most student council ppl do and yeh hang out with the "dance" crowd..mostly girls..but one dude, Sean..kinda cute but totally reminded me of Michael Alig...eerie..
oh also made another friend, Emma who was majoring in Graphic design..man u shoulda seen how many ppl where there for music..like almost everyone..yeh my "dance" crowd kinda reminded me of good old Souths..with the different cliques..mostly mine were mixed waxies with the norms..haha norms..we were sitting down talking about what else?!?!? and came up on the subject of what we did for our audition piece..most ppl said ballet & contemp..but i got the utmost praise from Michael as him and i were the only ones who auditioned with tap..even scored a high-five..i also ran into a girl who i auditioned with..i think her name was Christine..well i dont think shes too fond of me..
dunno why..the rest of the day was filled with campus tours and filling out applications..for everything..and the day i dont bring a pen..but yeah i like have orientation for the rest of the week to which i have to attend..damn no sleeptime..plus we get our Optus Digital tomorrow..well at least thats something to look forward too..arriving home at like 6pm to watch some good quality digital tv..ill post back with how the rest of the week goes... | | comments: 1 comment or Comment here |
| well..ive decided to write another entry...even though im constantly on here..well here, Laguna boards ad myspace..i know myspace..sad..but yeah im actually relaxing here at the moment watching Jamie Foxx on Oprah..hes actually a decent singer..but anywho..whats been going on the past couple of days..well not much..mostly stressing over my Wesley audition..which was today..and as always i organised everything to the last minute..but yeah all was well..when i headed into the place i was like overwhelmed but yeah when i went inside and met a few of the girls who were auditioning with me...one in particular..who was just like me..newbie..not familar with the whole ballet/contemp aspect and yeah..we kinda sucked at the ballet thingy..mostly crap at the barre..but yeah contemp was ok..alotta rolling on the floor..but i didnt suffer any bruises..yay..i thought i actually went ok..then we got to showing our choreographed pieces..which was sooo shit for me..on account of the music..which was fucked up somehow..
i think how it was taped..but yeah eventually i got to my number and surprisingly remembered my routine..still got it!b but the thing i hate more then dancing infront of people i dunno is waiting to be interviewed..yeah i had to wait for a while..coz i offereed to go last..but it was fun talking to this girl Amanda who really only specialised in hip-hop..but yeah..when it got to my turn..well i wasnt as scared as i thought i would be..and was also told info about the school and what surprised me was that it is mostly practical...yeah..no school work..yeah i was talking to a girl in her 3rd year and explained how much work is involved in the 1st yr then it slowly goes down..hmm lets see..um..i visited my dance teacher a couple of days ago and told her..she even gave me a present..hmm..hot shoe shuffle..nah but twas a Fosse dvd that i have yet to watch but will be watching it for a while..hmm what else..oh yeah im sooo stoked to see Walk The Line...im going opening day with or without anyone but i dont care...
its Joaquin babyee..and plus ive ben riling myself up by watching interviews of him on various tv show..hmm wat else..a few days ago i was watching an Entourage marathon..which was quite interesting and as i was watching it i saw Holly Valance..i was like waatt?? her on us tv..but yeah i guess she did make it to hollywood..though her role was crappy..a model..predictable..oh yeh i was looking through a friends blog..to which she had posted up memories of 2005..and as i was looking at my youthful days reminiscing on the good times i came to a pic that i totally forgot about..well mostly wat the caption said..( Pics Galore ) | | comments: Comment here |
